VISIT Easingwold- Yorkshire at its best

The Black Swan at Oldstead is now a ‘Rising Star’ in The Michelin Restaurant Guide 2010

We are absolutely delighted to be one of only three restaurants to be newly listed as a ‘Rising Star’ in The Michelin Great Britain & Ireland 2010 Guide.

The famous ‘Red Guide’ picks out Rising Star restaurants as ‘the gourmet dining stars of tomorrow’ identifying them as being in line for a Michelin Star in the future.

Recognition by Michelin adds to the success which has recently seen The AA award 5 Yellow Stars for the superb bedroom accommodation.

(yellow stars are the highest rating which is only given to the top 10% of 5 star establishments).

The Black Swan is now unique in Yorkshire as the only Two AA Rosette Restaurant with 5 Yellow Star Rooms.

It's a fact

Easingwold once had the shortest railway line in England (2.51 miles) but was closed in the 1950’s. The former Station Hotel still stands (now a private house) but the lines have long gone, The name lives on in the nearby “Station Court” housing estate
