Situated 6 miles north of York's ancient city walls and just off the B1363 York to Helmsley road, Goose Farm offers everything you require for a good night's sleep and relaxation after a hard day sight seeing or at the office. The 19th Century farmhouse is tastefully modernised yet it retains its old beams' original character

Goose Farm is a working farm where you are made to feel warm and cosy at any time of the year, whether business or pleasure. Come and enjoy your visit to historic York - you will not be disappointed.

It is conveniently situated for the many attractions of York - the National Railway Museum, the famous Castle Museum, York Minster, The Shambles, Jorvik Viking Museum and the York Racecourse

Goose Farm is within 10 miles of Castle Howard, of 'Brideshead Revisited' fame, and convenient for the North York Moors. The new Herriot museum at Thirsk is proving to be a very popular visitor attraction. The picturesque Yorkshire Dales are within comfortable travelling distance.

Tariff

For double/twin occupancy from £29 to £32 per person mid week and £32 to £34 for single nights at weekends
For single occupancy from £29 to £38 per person per night.

All prices include a good farmhouse breakfast made with local produce. Here at Goose Farm we accept payment by most credit cards.

It's a fact

Sqdn Ldr. Jack Currie was a famous WW2 bomber pilot who lived in our area. Some time after leaving the RAF he got a job as an instructor with the Home Office Defence School situated at Hawk Hills, Easingwold. During these post war years he decided to write his memoirs of his wartime experience as a pilot of a Lancaster Bomber. This book had the title of \"Lancaster Target\" which became very popular and sold in the thousands. He wrote this book whilst visiting the George Hotel in Easingwold in the evening whilst enjoying a pint. Sadly he died much too soon and is now at laid at rest in Easingwold church cemetery where one can view his unusual gravestone which mentions the fact that he was a famous wartime pilot and author. His funeral service was attended by hundreds of people, including the members of the BBC who produced a film of him being interviewed in respect of his wartime period when he was stationed at Wickenby in Lincolnshire.
