Junior Tennis Coaching

Tuesdays in school term time

Coached by Ralph Windwood - LTA Level 3 Coach

Ralph has been coaching at the Galtres Centre for 5 years and has developed a progressive programme for young players based around the LTA's mini tennis traffic light coaching structure.

Children can start indoors at Red level in the school year they are 5 and are introduced to basic tennis skills to enable them to control the ball and rally.

Children progress through Orange level and Green level so that by the age of 10 they can play outdoors on the full court.

Children can join the programme at any appropriate level; although some classes may be full applications can be made via a waiting list for a place to become available.

It's a fact

Easingwold once had the shortest railway line in England (2.51 miles) but was closed in the 1950’s. The former Station Hotel still stands (now a private house) but the lines have long gone, The name lives on in the nearby “Station Court” housing estate
